How to use GPS Logbooks

Viewing Flights

There's two main areas of GPS Logbooks, being Live Flights, and Saved Flights.

Live Flights allow you to watch others flying in real-time. The main Live Flights page will show the latest position of all live flyers around the globe. You can then zoom in to see the detailed path they took using the control panel on the right of the map.

Saved Flights are snippits of flights someone has done, and have saved them. A saved flight will give you extra flight info such as max speed, height, distance and a description. Registered users can also leave comments on a flight.

Recording Flights

Record your flight using the phone app.

Watch your flight. Your unique URL will be gpslogbooks.com/live/your-callsign

Save your flight. See how here. You can save your whole flight, or just a small snippit. Remember, un-saved flight data will be lost after 60 days.

Why Register?

Firstly, it's FREE, and you'll get a unique URL to give to your friends, so they can watch you Live. Messages you send on the phone app, can also automatically update your Facebook Status or add a tweet to your Twitter page. You'll be able to Save your flights to keep long term (unsaved flight data gets removed after 60 days). You'll be able to add comments to other flyer's Saved Flights, and you'll be able to join in with the forum community. Well I think that about covers it... so why not register now?
